NURS 4373 – Politics & Policy in Healthcare
Examines the interaction between nursing policy and politics, providing tools to understand and influence healthcare systems. Integrates liberal arts and nursing theory to analyze political and policy impacts on nursing practice. Includes didactic assessments to evaluate students’ comprehension. Enrollment in the RN to BSN program is required.

NURS 4374 – Global Health
Explores global health issues through perspectives of health promotion, population health, and primary healthcare. Analyzes the effects of world events and regional health policies. Highlights the role of nurses in delivering evidence-based care in diverse, complex settings while fostering inclusion and quality. Enrollment in the RN to BSN program is required.

NURS 4370 – Independent Study or International Nursing Study Course
Offers study on selected nursing topics that vary with each course iteration. Provides flexibility for students to pursue independent or international nursing studies based on specific interests. Requires upper-division standing and admission to the BSN program.

NURS 4370 – National Nursing Certification Credit

Admission Requirements

Applicants must hold an active, unencumbered RN license, have an Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) from a regionally accredited institution, and meet a minimum GPA of 2.5.

Official transcripts from all prior institutions are required, and provisional admission may be available for applicants with lower GPAs.
